In most cities in the modern world, people today get around by car or bus.  It is very unlikely that you will tour Amsterdam this way.  Here in Amsterdam, there are four preferred methods of getting around:

Walking
We will walk, if you like, wherever you want.  Many distance in central Amsterdam are close enough to make walking practical and enjoyable;

Biking
If you prefer, we can arrange a bike rental for you and see Amsterdam the way the locals do, by bicycle, rain or shine.

Boat
Many people in Amsterdam live on boats in canals, and many also get around from time to time by boat.  If you like we can arrange boat rental for you, or tour the city by boat.

Tram
Amsterdam’s light rail system is one of the best in the world.  It makes getting anywhere in town quick and comfortable.
